Ms. Zhang is a successful female enterprenuer living in Texas, who is in the same social orbit of Ms. Bi and Mrs. Wong.
Since both her besties acquired a beautiful pair of rubies, she wanted a pair as well.
Mr. Xu actually bought these stones in Bangkok, Thailand directly from the mine owner. He rememers sitting in this mine ower's office in Silom, negotiating prices and talking about terms of this transaction. At the time, these stones were not certified. Though the mine owner promised they were of Pigeon Blood in color and not treated with heat, Mr. Xu insisted this deal be solely based on the testing results of a world class lab such as Gem Research Swiss Lab..
He left Thailand to return to the States while the stones were in the GRS lab for testing. Two weeks later, the certificates were issued and the deal was closed.
There was a lot of discussion between the client and Mr. Xu with regard to the design for these stones. He listened intensively and incorpated her thoughts and ideas into the drawing.
Once the design was finalized, Mr. set out to select side diamonds himself according to the highest standards, being D-F in color, VS-VVS in clarity. He suprevised the whole process of mounting to make sure everything was made to perfection.
When the pieces were finished, he himself was wowed and pleased with the results. These earrings were later hand delivered to Ms. Zhang in Texas in 2021.
