An Important Pair of Pigeon Blood Ruby Earrings

Ms. Bi is a successful business woman in the gasoline business in Texas. She immigrated to the US from China a few decades earlier and is a self-made multi millionaire through her smarts and hard work.
She and Mr. Xu met through mutual friends.
When Mr. Xu was in Texas on business end of 2019, he had on him a few pairs of beautiful rubies. This pair particulary caught Ms. Bi's attention. But she didn't buy them on the spot. It was not until he left when she asked about these stones and expressed her interest. A deal was struck in the end.
Natural Rubies of high quality and large carat weight are extremely rare, especially those without thermal enhancement. This 6 cts plus 6 cts pair are of Mozambican origin and are each accompanied with a GRS certificate stating that one of them is a GRS type Pigeon Blood Ruby without heat, the other being a Vivid Red* Pigeon Blood Ruby without heat.
Ms.Bi didn't want elaborate designs as she preferred something simple and elegant. So these were set into a very classic style created out of platinum and set with colorless diamonds.
They were delivered to her in Texas early spring of 2021.
