Ms. Zhu, the sistr of Mrs. Wong, who purchased a pair of Columbian Emerald earrings back in 2019, expressed an interest in a 5 cts diamond solitaire ring, when Mr. Xu met her at a function in Shanghai in 2024.
Prior to settling on this 5.02 cts D, VVS2, EX, EX, EX, None stone, Mr. Xu had presented a few other options. This stone, however, seemed like the best pick with all things consdiered.
Mr. Xu had previously reset a 5 cts diamond for her sister Mrs. Wong from Texas. Ms. Zhu liked the setting very much. So she wanted her 5 cts to be set in the same style. In order to differentiate between hers and her sister's since both rings would look exactly the same, Ms. Zhu asked for her intial W of her given name to be engraved on the inside of the shank.
The ring was picked up in Hangzhou in August 2024. Ms. Zhu was very pleased with the way it looked. It truly sparkles like a disco ball...
